Mission

New Hampshire's structural deficit and over-reliance on the property tax ensure that property taxes keep rising, that people with the lowest income pay the highest overall tax rate, while the wealthiest pay the lowest rate, and that the strain on families and communities keeps growing. The Granite State Fair Tax Coalition advocates a balanced tax system, based on ability to pay, that reduces the state's dependence on property taxes and thus property tax rates, and includes new revenue sources sufficient to meet the state's needs.
